About Us

Brittani & Cole Campbell

Our life together has been shaped by the places we have lived, the work we have shared and the things we return to: art, food, music and, for more than twenty years, Santa Fe.

Brittani graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in education and began teaching pre-K in 2008. She remained an educator until resigning during the pandemic. Those years reflect something fundamental about her: patience, a strong sense of responsibility and a deep commitment to the people in her care. She brings those qualities to our businesses every day, with much of her work happening quietly behind the scenes.

Cole also graduated from North Texas, earning a business degree with a fine art minor. His interest in making things began earlier, working beside his father in an Amarillo workshop where vintage Porsches were built, raced and restored. That experience introduced him to craftsmanship and material integrity—an appreciation he later explored through handmade iron furniture and interior design.

After graduation, we lived in Dallas before eventually establishing our business in Amarillo. In 2010, we opened gray is grey, a small shop featuring Cole’s ironwork, gifts and objects for the home. It grew into a full interior design studio through years of shared work and relationships with clients. Brittani was integral to building that business, bringing the attentiveness and follow-through that continue to sustain what we do together.

We later owned and operated a logistics company, whose divisions took us first to Denver and then to Scottsdale. Dallas, Austin, Denver and Scottsdale each helped shape our appreciation for great food and the pleasure of spending time around a table. Our time in Europe broadened that perspective, deepening our interest in the relationship between food, architecture, art and daily life. Music has always been part of that experience—a shared love that continues to inform the places and gatherings we create.

Through those years, Santa Fe was always our halfway stopping point, even when it meant traveling out of our way. We made the detour because we wanted to be here. Its architecture, landscape and creative independence stayed with us long after each visit.

In 2024, we purchased the Santa Fe Teahouse & Bistro. We then sold our logistics company and moved to Santa Fe full time. A place that had been part of our journeys became the center of our life.

Neither of us arrived with a hospitality background. We brought experience building businesses, an appreciation for good food and a willingness to learn. Running the Teahouse required us to apply those things in unfamiliar ways, through long days and the practical work of caring for a restaurant, its staff and its guests.

Brittani’s contribution has been central to that transition. Her dedication reaches well beyond what a guest sees during a visit. She gives her time and attention to the daily work that holds a business together, while remaining deeply invested in the people around her. The Teahouse and Norman Dudley both carry her commitment, just as they carry Cole’s creative vision.

We know the Teahouse holds memories that began long before us. We respect that history and the affection people have for this place. Alongside our staff, we are working to carry it forward with care: good food, an evolving tea and espresso program, music and a setting where people feel welcome to linger and return.

Across the street, Norman Dudley Interiors & Fine Art continues the design practice we began in Texas. At 826 Canyon Road, the studio and gallery bring together original art, furnishings, Japanese antiques and sculptural objects. Cole’s work is rooted in observation—understanding a home’s architecture, its light and the lives unfolding within it. He continues to travel to Texas monthly for design projects, maintaining relationships that remain an important part of our story.

These businesses express the interests we have cultivated over a life together. They also reflect the same personal standard: care for the work, respect for the people involved and a belief that the details matter.

Whether you spend a morning at the Teahouse, discover an artwork in the gallery or invite us into the process of shaping your home, we hope you feel that care. Santa Fe gave us a place to begin this chapter. What we build here, and the relationships that grow around it, are how we hope to contribute in return.
