This is the cup you order when Canyon Road has slowed down and the afternoon has nowhere left to go. A 2001-vintage Pu-erh cave-aged, then finished in oak barrels — dark, complex, and unhurried in a way that only time produces.
Taste: Aged cedar and dark earth open the cup, giving way to dried stone fruit and a whiskey-like oak warmth. The finish lingers through the walk home — long, smooth, and completely worth the afternoon you gave it.
Ingredients: Aged Pu-erh tea (2001 vintage, cave-aged and oak-barrel finished, Yunnan, China)
Steeping Guide:
1 heaping tsp.
6 oz. at 195° water
Steep 3–5 minutes
Re-steep 4+ times, adding 1 minute each
