A tiny leafhopper feeds on the leaf. The plant responds by producing enzymes no craft can replicate. The honey character that results is so distinctive it earned this tea a name from a queen. The insect did all of that work. We just had the good sense to carry it. Some of the best things on Canyon Road arrived exactly the same way.
Taste: Honeycomb and white flowers open the cup. Ripe apricot and muscat grape deepen through the mid-palate into a long silky finish with zero astringency. This is what oolong tastes like when nature decides to be genuinely generous.
Ingredients: Oriental Beauty oolong tea (Taiwan)
Steeping Guide:
1 heaping tsp.
6 oz. at 190° water
Steep 2 minutes
Re-steep 5–7 times
